The third place

Somewhere between home and work.

The sociologist Ray Oldenburg called them third places: the libraries, food courts, plazas and campus halls where people linger, meet and feel they belong. They work when they are open to everyone, comfortable enough to stay in and easy to change as a community grows.

That is the brief behind Longtail and CoALL: furniture that turns a thoroughfare into a place.

Reasons to stay

Ready to connect
